Amy James started Cablemaids in southwest New Mexico at the beginning of 2017. She has over 30 years experience in the construction industry. Amy launched the new business with her partner, Tammy Crawford, bringing her combined 35 years of experience as a senior field engineer, cabling coordinator, and manager of a computer service company.

Both women have designed, installed, and maintained a wide variety of structured wiring systems throughout the United States.  The name "Cablemaids" originated from the numerous computer room clean-ups requested.  IT Room renovations are now one of Cablemaids' most popular services.

Together, the small crew has completed projects in New Mexico, Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, Long Island, Queens, The Bronx, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Los Angeles, Riverside, Denver, and Puerto Rico.

Cablemaids' strive to provide quality cable installations that not only function well but are also aesthetically pleasing. Cablemaids' goal is to work with our clients and their vendors to ensure efficient, on-time and smooth installs, delivered at a fair price.  Cablemaids' are always hands-on with every aspect of all projects and strive to surpass  clients' expectations every time.  Amy believes that communication is a key factor for successful and seamless installations.

In addition to IT room design and clean-ups, we also do commercial sound masking, commercial stereo systems, conference room A/V set-up, and Verkada camera installations. This phase of our business came during the beginning of Covid when we were asked to do projects outside our normal realm of business. Our customers with pharmacies turned into testing centers and then into vaccination sites.  We stayed safe, but never stopping working.

In addition to our services, we also sell bulk data cable, patch panels, jacks, patch cables, fiber jumpers and a variety of other network related items.
